Once again the Etowah wow'ed us with wildlife even on a cold to cool day! We saw beaver, muskrat, deer, hawks, geese, herons, ducks and even an intrepid river cooter (turtle) trying out the sun. The entrance to the river at Euharlee Creek gave everyone a quick chance to get a feel for the Class I's later in the day. We ran through a half dozen fish weirs and looked up at the Hardin Bridge as we cruised under. While the shuttle was being set up we enjoyed coffee and warm restrooms at Johnny and Jill's restaurant. The paddle was a solid 4 hours with a couple of brief stops to stretch enroute. A wonderful lunch was shared after the paddle in Euharlee and we all headed home for warm showers and rest! Thanks everybody, we snuck one in before the real cold hit the next day!
