Itinerary:
Beginners are welcomed!
 
Join us for two laps around Murphy Candler lake followed by optional trivia at The Bird restaurant.  We will meet at the parking lot noted in the directions below, then will circle the lake counter-clockwise.  The trail begins on a sidewalk, then takes us through a lakeside picnic area before looping through woods and finishing along a wide trail that takes us back to the parking area. You will cross seven bridges along the way, probably see ducks and geese and maybe even a heron, hawk or owl.  We will go at a moderate pace.
 
A maximum of 3 friendly dogs are permitted on this hike.  They must be on a leash at all times and you must pick up after your pets per park rules.  Please keep in mind if you do bring pets, you may have issues attending the optional trivia portion of the event.
 
After the hike those who choose (go ahead and choose - it's fun!) will head to The Bird for trivia beginning at 7:00.  It's less than 3 miles away directly north on Ashford-Dunwoody road (behind the Walmart).

From Perimeter Mall:  
Head South on Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Cross over I-285.
Continue on Ashford-Dunwoody Road to W. Nancy Creek Drive.
Turn left onto W. Nancy Creek Drive.
The parking area is four blocks ahead on left before the bridge.

From downtown Atlanta: 
Go North on Peachtree Street to Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Turn left onto Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Continue on Ashford-Dunwoody Road to W. Nancy Creek Drive. 
Turn right onto W. Nancy Creek Drive.  
The parking area is four blocks ahead on left before the bridge.
