Cloudland Canyon - Sitton's Cave

This event is only for people already on the Pioneer Camping & Caving/Hiking--Cloudland Canyon event.
If you're not already on the list for that event, then DO NOT sign up for this event because you will be removed.

This cave is located on the Cloudland Canyon State Park property but it is about a 10-15 minute drive outside the gates down to the cave entrance, so we will need a couple of drivers.
This is a pretty simple cave that is good for beginning cavers. We will be following a stream passage most of the way back with a couple of mazes and a couple of rooms to explore.
The stream passage was dry when we went to check out the cave back in July but this cave is normally very wet. We still got muddy and with all the rain lately I would plan to get EXTREMELY muddy!!

Helmets with lights are available to rent for $15 for the weekend.
Payment in advance is required as there's a limited number available.

Notes:
You WILL get very wet or muddy on this trip so synthetic material is strongly advised.
I wear nylon pants & nylon T-shirt as well as light poly pro thermals under my pants.
