Itinerary:


Join us for a relaxing climb, geared towards teaching the basics of climbing. Never climbed before?  No worries.  Want to learn how to belay?  Stone Summit has got you covered.  Climbers of all levels are welcome to come.  Those that want to stick around we will probably get dinner after!!  

Cost, not paid to the AOC, is a very low price of $10 per person.  This includes gear.  The only way to qualify for the $10 is to be signed up for the event.  There will be a name sheet at the front desk.  Tell them, "you are with the AOC."  That will be the list we use for the event so please tell them your name even if you are a SS member.  

Come find me, Shane, we will most likely congregate in the far back right corner.

If you have never climbed at Stone Summit, or have not yet been to the Kennesaw location, you will have to sign a new waiver. There are touch-screen kiosks when you walk in.   Simply register yourself at the kiosks; it take about 5 minutes to complete.

The event will last approximately 2 hours.  Come and Go anytime during the event.  If you can belay that would help tremendously.

Required Items to Bring:

Wear clothes geared towards working out.  No baggy shirts or pants.

Your own climbing shoes / harness (if you have them)

Stone Summit will provide climbing shoes and a harness (they will hold your driver's license until you return the equipment).  This is part of the $10 price.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Bag for your stuff

Nalgene for water

Small snack

Notes:

I will wear my Green AOC volunteer shirt.  I should be the only one wearing one there.  You can come and go any time during the event, or stay till close.  Tell them when you check in at the front desk that you are with the AOC.
