Itinerary:

Come join me on a fun hike!!!! This hike is a 3.0 moderate pace due to the distance in the allotted time.

Cheatham Hill / Kolb Farm Loop is relatively flat but does have some hills. The hills are not too steep nor too long. The trail meanders through the Civil War battlefield forest. We will be discovering things from the Civil War period. We might be lucky and see some deer or horses on our hike and eat some ripe blackberries.

There is NO Parking Fee

Please be sure you are capable of doing the 5.7 miles in 2.00 hours. We want to stay together as a group & have fun.

We will meet at the parking lot. There are NO restroom facilities at this location.

PLEASE arrive by 8:50 am for socializing & introductions. Out of respect for the majority of people who arrive on time, we will leave PROMPTLY at 9:00 am. 

PLEASE REMOVE ALL VALUABLES FROM THE INSIDE OF YOUR CAR so as not to attract a vandal.

Optional early dinner at the West Cobb Diner (see Notes below). The West Cobb Diner is a casual cafe dishing up classic Southern favorites & sandwiches in a low-key, relaxed atmosphere.

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefiels - Cheatham Hill Drive Parking Lot

Cheatham Hill Drive is off of Whitlock Avenue (Dallas Highway / GA-120)

Drive to the end of Cheatham Hill Drive to the parking lot. If the parking lot is full, you can park along Cheatham Hill Drive.

 

If you end up at a parking lot beside the road & across the street from an open field, you are in the WRONG parking lot.

Turn LEFT out of the parking lot back onto Cheatham Hill Road

At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit

Continue onto John Ward & go 0.5 miles to the traffic light

Turn RIGHT onto GA-120E (Whitlock Avenue) & go 0.5 miles

Cheatham Hill Drive will be on your right
