Come meader with me thru Gibbs Gardens enjoying & taking pictures of all the beautiful Georgia spring colors. There’s no better place to witness the spring season’s colorful transformation than in Gibbs Gardens in North Georgia. Mid Season Daffodils, Flowering Cherry Trees, Spirea, Quince, 30,000 Tulips, Violas & Pansies are in bloom. We will stroll along paths that meander through “fields of gold” created by sweeps of blooms that bejewel the rolling hills and fields. This breath-taking display includes over 20 million daffodils of more than 100 different varieties, ranging in color from primrose-yellow to yellow, saffron, gold, orange, blush pink, white and cream. The blossoms are a tribute to Jim Gibbs mother, who ushered in every spring by quoting Wordsworth: “When all at once I saw a crowd, a host, of golden daffodils.” The flowers and trees embody the season’s stunning physical beauty. There’s plenty of tasty food and other activities to get you in the spirit of everyone’s favorite time of year. Food will be available for purchase from the Arbor Cafe, https://www.gibbsgardens.com/visit/arbor-cafe-menu/ Gibbs Gardens, nestled in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, includes 220 acres of breathtaking gardens set in mature rolling woodlands dotted with 24 ponds,19 waterfalls and myriad springs and streams with 32 bridge crossings. It’s also the country’s largest residential estate gardens. The gardens are composed of 16 gardens including 3 feature gardens – Manor House Gardens, Japanese and Waterlily Gardens. The 40 acre Japanese Gardens is the largest Japanese Garden in the country.
