Beginners are welcomed!
Two laps around Murphy Candler lake. We will meet at the parking lot noted in the directions below, then will circle the lake counter-clockwise. The trail begins on a sidewalk, then takes us through a lakeside picnic area before looping through woods and finishing along a wide trail that takes us back to the parking area. You will cross seven bridges along the way, probably see ducks and geese and maybe even a heron, hawk or owl. We will go at a moderate pace.
A maximum of 3 friendly dogs are permitted on this hike. They must be on a leash at all times and you must pick up after your pets per park rules.

From Perimeter Mall:
Head South on Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Cross over I-285.
Continue on Ashford-Dunwoody Road to W. Nancy Creek Drive.
Turn left onto W. Nancy Creek Drive.
The parking area is four blocks ahead on left before the bridge.
From downtown Atlanta:
Go North on Peachtree Street to Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Turn left onto Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
Continue on Ashford-Dunwoody Road to W. Nancy Creek Drive.
Turn right onto W. Nancy Creek Drive.
The parking area is four blocks ahead on left before the bridge.
