Itinerary:

While this is OPEN TO ALL I am putting this out here in preperation for the weekend bikepacking event. I'm hosting this "training ride" for any potential bikepackers - or folks that want to try their had at lugging that gear around in a controled environment. Early sunsets are still upon us, but if you have the holiday off or want to get a good spin in for lunch...join me.
This out and back route will flow from the bottom of the Old Alabama Road trail head and wind around to Marconi Road. It's there where we'll circle and re-group (as we may have drifted in to separate segments). Once we're all accounted for it's go time to the cars at Old Alabama.
This ride is cool on road bikes, gravel/CX bikes, Hybrids or even a MTB if you're up for a serious workout...so, load up them panniers, bring that baby trailer loaded with firewood and let's get this training going - or just join us, we're cool like dat!

Arrive early enough to get set up - aired up and ready to roll right at 11am

Helmet is a must
a Bike is probably good too
Water - Hyrdation fluids
F&R Lights for safety

Recommended Items to Bring:

Gear for bikepacking
chamois cream - lots of it LOL
eye protection
repair tools and gear
STRAVA or GPS tracking devices so you can gauge your future efforts
a copy of "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" - just seeing if you're reading it all


How to Get There:
Event Directions:

1600 Old Alabama Raod, Roswell, GA 300XX

GA 400 to exit 7 (Holcomb Bridge Rd) and go East towards Norcross


Left at second traffic light onto Old Alabama Rd (Second traffic light).


Go about 1/3 mile and entrance to Roswell Greenway is on your left - you will turn in to a small parking lot. There is a beige sign with green writing. Come through that parking lot (continuing away from Old Alabama Rd) and follow the paved road over and down the hill. There will be a parking area and small restroom building on your right. We'll meet by the restroom building.
