Itinerary:
While Gary is away hiking the AT let's carry on his Rottenwood tradition, and get out and hike before the rain comes!
 
This 8 mile out and back fast walk is along a concrete path that follows the scenic Rottenwood Creek. The walk is entirely on pavement, don't let that deter you from signing up. It's one of the more scenic urban hikes in Atlanta. 
 
We'll keep an average pace of 3.0 + mph, with stops along the way to enjoy what may cross our path.  The elevation gain is 350 feet.
 
Cushioned running shoes are more comfortable than hiking boots, but either are fine.
