Itinerary:

Dunwoody Nature Center began as a part of America’s Bicentennial celebrations in 1975 when a group of citizens petitioned DeKalb County to purchase the acreage known as Dunwoody Park with a federal grant. The center promotes love of nature and cultivates environmental understanding and stewardship through a variety of programs and activities that engage the public and provide the community with a sense of place within the natural world.

The Center has roughly 2.3 miles of foot-friendly paths along heavily wooded areas, giving the feeling of really being out in the woods, despite the proximity to civilization surrounding the park.  The trail system connects all the features of the Nature Center, making it easy to get from one to the other.  We'll walk the trails for 2 hours, getting in about 4.5 miles.

The park isn't far off 400/Northside Drive, making it very accessible by car. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on leash. Disobeying park rules damages the reputation of the AOC, so please keep this in mind if you choose to bring your dog.  Let's limit the number of dogs to 3.
