Starting at North Point Parkway Trailhead

Start Time: 6:15 - Almost a FULL MOON RIDE too

This is not a beginner bike ride; we will be averaging about 14 mph with limited stops.

 

I'm highjacking this event from Mike S this week....so I'm calling it Horhay's Highjacked Big Creek GreenWay Trail Ride = BCGWTR .
Join me for an after work ride on the Big Creek Greenway. For those of you who have not been on the Big Creek Greenway, it is great!  It is very well maintained, clean and very pretty.  We might even see some wildlife.   The Greenway is made up of mostly paved pathways through the woods with some boardwalks mixed in. We plan to do about 21 miles, starting from the North Point Parkway parking area.  We'll ride to the end of the Greenway, on Union Hill Road.   We'll  throw in a  couple of optional hills on and around Marconi Drive.   We plan to regroup only at the Marconi parking lot before and after the hills. 
 
The ride is suitable for a hybrid, road bike or gravel bike. Please make sure your bike is ready to go the night before.   We will depart from the parking lot at 6:15 sharp so please arrive early.

Please note:


1. no helmet = no ride

2. bring water - it's hot out

3. per the directions below -- please follow the paved road back and park by the restroom building

North Point Mall Trailhead

Take exit  8 off GA 400 N for Mansell Rd toward  Alpharetta

Use the 2nd from the right lane to follow signs for N Point Pkwy   and merge onto Mansell Rd

Use the left 3 lanes to turn  left onto  North Point Pkwy

Driving northbound on North Point Parkway halfway between Mansell and Haynes Bridge Roads, find the greenway sign directly across from Haverty's Furniture.
