Itinerary:

Please join us for a wonderful start to the week.

This is going to be a unique event. We will meet at around 6 am at the parking lot near the bathrooms.  We will then hike up to the top of Stone Mountain with a prompt start time of 6:15 am. 

We will reach the summit in time to watch the sunrise and then take a few minutes together to read some of our favorite poems. Each person can read a short poem, one that is meaningful to him/herself.

We will then hike down the mountain and go around Stone Mountain at a moderate pace, returning to our vehicles at around 9:15 am.

Entrance to the park is $20.00 but an annual pass is $40.00. There is some excellent off road parking close to the parking lot, if that is your preference.

From Atlanta:

Take 78 E to GA-10 W.

Take Exit 5 GA 10 W toward Memorial Dr/Stone Mtn Village.

Take the East Ponce de Leon Exit toward Stone Mountain Vig/Clarkston.

Turn Left onto E Ponce de Leon (signs for Stone Mountain Village).

Tune Left onto James B Rivers Memorial Drive.

Turn Right onto Robert E Lee Blvd.

Turn Left onto Mountain Street.
