Itinerary:

The hike will start on the Inner Loop trail.  We will hike approximately 2.7 miles on this trail, passing by the Old Fort Wall and stopping at the Stone Tower and the beautiful West Overlook.  We will exit this trail near the restrooms at the end of Fort Mountain Park Rd, take a bathroom break, and proceed to the scenic Gahuti Backcountry trailhead.  We will hike the entire 8+ miles of this trail, for a total distance of approximately 11 miles.  We will take a lunch break about half way through the hike.

The terrain on both trails is rough and rocky, so this will be a challenging 11 miles.
