Itinerary:

Please join me for an Easter Morning hike at Sope Creek .  We will start our hike promptly at 9:30 a.m. and hike for three hours and 6 1/2 to 7 miles.   Hike will be at a moderate pace.  There are a few rolling hills, nothing super strenous. Start at Sope Creek head into Cochran Shoals and then back to our cars

 There have been cases of vandalsm to vehicles so leave all valuables at home.

 

$5 parking fee required unless you have a CRNRA Annual pass.  Meet at the Sope Creek parking lot on Paper Mill Road.

Paper Mill Road entrance of the Chattahoochee  RIver National Recreational Area.

From eastbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • Left For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 3.0 miles, entrance will be on the left.

From westbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • North For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 3.0 miles, entrance will be on the left.
