The hike begins at the closest parking lot to the Len Foote Inn trailhead, there will be several scenic overlooks along the way, providing opportunities to pause and enjoy the surroundings. The trail is well-maintained, meanders through bridges, and passes through a cool, shady rhododendron tunnel. Our moderate (average 2.7mph) pace should get us to the Inn by time for a lunch break, we will take 15 minutes to enjoy the scenery and our favorite snacks. Len Foote Inn is a unique backcountry eco-lodge, take a few minutes to look into the concept on their website https://hike-inn.com/education. It MIGHT be possible for us to buy their famous freshly baked giant cookies, but don't take it against me if we can't. Then we will retrace our steps back to the cars, but WAIT, we are not done yet! I want to see the WATERFALLS but I'm going the lazy way, we will drive down to the West Ridge parking area (link is in the directions) and walk 0.3 miles (no stairs) to the Waterfall, easy Peasy!
