Itinerary:

Come explore Piedmont Park like you have never seen it before. We will meet at the South West Entrance to Piedmont Park and take various paths throughout the park; pass by the botanical garden, through the six streams wetlands area, the north meadow and then back around the lake. We will cover 5 miles in all. We will mainly be walking on paved surfaces but we will encounter boardwalk, dirt trails and gravel. The pace will be 2.8 - 3.0 miles/hour. We will finish back where we started in time to enjoy an optional post hike stop at the Piedmont Park Green Market (you can pick up a fresh croissant or locally grown produce).

 Possible hazards on the trail include scantily clad runners, second hand smoke of the illegal kind and a new appreciation of our city.

We will meet at the southwest entrance of Piedmont park, which is very close to the corner of 10th Street NE and Argonne Ave. See picture above. At the time of the hike there should be ample parking along 10th Street or along sections of Argonne Ave, or the park is only 4 blocks from the midtown MARTA station.
