Itinerary:

Come join your AOC friends for a hike at Kennesaw Mountain.  We will meet at the Park Visitor Center for a moderately paced walk up Kennesaw Mountain, Little Kennesaw, down to Burnt Hickory Road, then return back.  At the Visitor Center, it will begin a steep 1 mile climb up to Kennesaw Mountain where we may stop briefly to check out the view from the top.  We will head downhill to another short climb which will take us to the top of Little Kennesaw, then a little rock hop, and some up and down will lead us to Burnt Hickory Road.  We'll return on the cut-off to the Brumby trail around the east side of the mountain and back to the visitor center. You will need to be in shape to keep up on the inclines. Some of the hike is difficult, rocky trails - not for the beginner.  The hike will take around 2 and 45, to include a water break.

This is not a beginner hike, only D3 and strong D2 hikers.

Arrive early enough for the 10 minute walk from overflow parking.
