This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Come join me on a hike in one of Georgia's nicest parks. The park is home to stone structures that are estimated to be over three thousand years old, but whose origins have not been determined, partly due to the lack of artifacts found on the site. We will be hiking the Gahuti Backcountry trail with a few additions to see waterfalls, views, and the namesake fort on Fort Mountain. The Gahuti Backcountry trail is a D4 by itself, but with the additions becomes a low level D5. I have marked it as exploratory because it has been a long time since I have hiked it. My mapping program says the distance is 8.9 miles, and that the elevation gain is 2,854 feet.
