Itinerary:

From the parking lot we will walk about 1/4 mile on a connecting trail to the paved PATH trail. After walking about a mile, heading northwest through the Helen Meador Boyd Memorial Forest, we will get to Vaughters Farm. We will then walk about 1 mile on Meadow Loop trail until we reach the House Ruins loop trail. We will walk this loop, which is about a mile long, then walk the Woodland trail until we reach the Purple Mark trail. Purple Mark trail goes past the lake. This lake is a recent product of beaver engineering and does not have a name yet. The trail ends at Rockland Road. We will cross the road and walk back towards Arabia Lake on a gravel road, walk around it, and return to the parking lot .

The route is mostly flat, with an elevation chenge of less than 200 ft,and approximately 5 miles go through forested areas. Around 4 miles into the hike we will stop for about 20 minutes for a snack and to hydrate.
