Itinerary:

The weather has been great this week and makes for a great opportunity to take a break from the work week with an easy 2 mile lunch time stroll around Murphey Candler park. I will be going at a casual pace to enjoy being outdoors. If I see something that interests me I may choose to stop and enjoy the moment, this is not the event for anyone that is in a hurry.

The trail around the park is relatively flat and easy but some areas are a little uneven and there are a few very small hills. The lake is currently mostly dry due to a dredging project. While that doesn't make it the most scenic it is a somewhat interesting change.

We will be meeting by the overlook/pier pictured above on the east side of the dam. There is a small parking lot there and additional parking across the street by the sports fields if needed. Please be aware that Ashford Dunwoody is closed between 285 and the park road so you will need to detour or access from the other side of the park. The point of the event is to have a relaxing break to your day. If you have a long drive to get to the park it honestly might not be worth it.
