Itinerary:

This is a tranquil and often under-utilized trail we will enjoy.  We will meet in the first parking lot on the left immediately after the main entrance.  Please note that there are no restrooms at this location.

From the parking lot, we'll hike the newest trail, which is on the left.  I plan to keep a moderate pace and complete the trail in approximately one hour.  The hike includes a few hills and enough elevation to increase our heart rates. 

The trail will return us to the parking lot, and those ready to leave may do so.  For those who wish to stay, if we are on schedule we'll take the older trail down for a scenic view of the river as the sun sets.  There are often herons and ducks in the area.  The trail back up is easy to negotiate, even at twilight.  If we are running too late from our hike of the first trail, we'll skip this second trail.

Please be punctual so we can take full advantage of the limited daylight.
