Itinerary:

Let's start at Yonah Preserve (bike and hiking trails) along the Turner Reservoir.  We are hiking 5.5 miles with 430+ elevation gain on the bike trails at Yonah Preserve.  Creek Trails, Sequoyah's Return and Cherokee Loop.

Additional Information with photos:  https://www.yonahpreservetrails.com/

Restrooms at trailhead of both hikes (get excited).

Afterwards, we'll hike Yonah Mountain.  Big vistas at the top.  An intense climb, at times.  A ranger training facility (not expecting to see them, but will be plenty happy if we do).  We are hiking 4.5 miles and roughly 1500 feet.

The total is then 10 miles and approximatley 2000', a high D4.

We'll have a serious snack at the top of Yonah Mountain.

Pace is mostly a 3.0 mph (fast to moderately fast) on the Preserve, slower at Yonah Mountain.

Free parking in both places.

After the hike there will be an optional beverage stop.
