Itinerary:

I really wanted to get out today for some exercise. After noticing that there were no hiking events today I decided to post this just in case any one else was in the same boat.

Start your weekend with a nice hike around the various trails of Sope Creek. The route we take will be roughly 5 miles and take 2 hrs. There are some decent sized hills and rocky places but we will make sure to use only official trails along the way so nothing should be too bad. Also be aware that some of the trails that we will be taking are shared with mountain bikers.

Make sure to bring a good attitude and an appropriate amount of water.  My preference is to have limited stops by keeping a consistent comfortable speed around 2.7mph except when looking at scenic things like the ruins, creek, or pond. There are around 10 minutes built in to the time to look at things, if we don't make stops the event could finish a bit early.

Parking is $5 if you do not already have a pass(Chattahoochee or America the Beautiful). Info can be found here https ://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm . They no longer take cash and you will need internet on your phone to pay. 

We will be leaving on time and you should be there a few minutes early. If you are late we will not be waiting and the nature of the event makes it very difficult for you to catch up or find us.
