Sunday River Run & Run/Walk @ Cochran Shoals (2 Loops + Optional 3rd loop at your own pace)

Join us for a scenic morning run & run/walk at Cochran Shoals! You set your own pace for a minimum of 2 loops + optional 3rd loop.

Looking to add some miles to your week or simply enjoy a peaceful stroll by the water? Come spend Sunday morning with us at Cochran Shoals, a favorite spot along the Chattahoochee River for hiking, running, biking, and dog walking.

We’ll follow the trail north along the river, completing a run and run/walk of 2-3 loops of the Cochran Shoals Fitness Trail (each about 3 miles, with the Columns Drive parking area at the midpoint). Altogether, our we will cover approximately 6 - 9 miles at a moderate pace. You only need to complete a minimum of 2 loops/6 miles but welcome to complete an optional 3rd loop/9 miles).

Dogs are welcome (on leash), and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

Notes:

• All natural and cultural features are FEDERALLY protected.
• Stay on the designated trails.
• Pets must be on a leash at all times.
• Be aware of rapid rising water levels.
• No glass containers on the river.
• Park Unit is closed to public use at dark.
