Baseball season is here! This hike pays tribute to the Atlanta Braves! Skip the gym and join the Atlanta Outdoor Club for an urban hike around Truist Park, the Bob Callan Trail and the Rottenwood Creek Trail. We will hike at a moderate pace on paved trails and sidewalks. After the hike, there is an option to meet for coffee hour/breakfast at one of the Atlanta Battery restaurants. The total elevation gain on this hike is about 450 feet -- so be prepared for some hills at certain points during this event! Please be at our meeting spot no later than 8:15am for introductions and trip instructions. Reminder: The Atlanta Battery is next to Truist Park where the Atlanta Braves play their regular season games. If driving, please park at the Truist Park Red Lot. Parking rate: 0 to 2 Hours $0.00 per vehicle 2 to 3 Hours $10.00 per vehicle 3 to 4 Hours $15.00 per vehicle Limited, paid street parking exists near Truist Park, but it is scarce and heavily enforced, often costing around $10 per hour. *Important note: Katherine will be using private group texts to communicate to members about this event ahead of the hike.
