TGIF @ MEDLOCK - CANDLER LAKE Loop

TGIF! And what better way to end the (stressful) week than take a brisk walk, RAIN or SHINE, along the refurbished South Peachtree Creek boardwalk from MEDLOCK PARK to the Emory Candler Lake loop and back, with one hydration break at Candler Lake.

This is a FAST-PACED HIKE (15-16 min/mile = 3.75 to 4 mph), so if you prefer a slower pace, have mobility issues, or are recovering from injury, please sit this one out!

The majority of the hike is on a wooden boardwalk or concrete path, with a few sections of dirt and gravel, so please wear appropriate footwear.

Trailhead: South Peachtree Creek Trail (Across the street from 948 Scott Cir, Decatur, GA 30033)

A few days before the event, I will email participants the exact meeting location and detailed directions.

1. Please, no unregistered guests or +Ones!

2. In order to earn credit for this event, participants must begin and complete the entire hike/event with the group, or within the stated time frame.

3. Late cancellations, particularly within 36 hours of the event, make it difficult for those on the waitlist to attend. Please be courteous to your fellow AOC members and cancel with as much notice as possible.

4. When an event has an active waitlist, the trip leader reserves the right to assign a “no show” to members who sign up and fail to attend the event.

5. If you need to get in touch, the best way is to TEXT me with your NAME at 4O4 7-Five-4 5OO5. FYI, thanks to those annoying robocalls, calling me will send you to my voicemail, but feel free to leave a message.

6. I usually hike RAIN-or-SHINE!

7. In case of severe weather or other unforeseen emergencies that warrant a cancellation, I will text/email you at least TWO HOURS before the start of the event.
