Itinerary:

We will launch from the boat ramp at Moccasin Creek State Park.  We will paddle to Laprade's Marina and have lunch.  We will return the same way but may explore some of the fingerlets of the lake.  If you wish to explore more than the group, that is fine as well.  

I will be camping at Moccasin Creek State Park Friday and Saturday nights and you are welcome to join if you wish.  


Required Items to Bring:

A kayak or canoe. Lake Burton is a flat water paddle, minus boating wakes.  Drinking water and required safety gear.  If you do not have a boat and wish to rent one you can rent at Moccasin Creek State Park for $24.   Please call ahead to reserve a boat 706.947.3194.

There is a state park parking fee unless you have an annual pass.
