This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:
Hike the beautiful Gold Branch Trail on the banks of the Chattahoochee River near Roswell and East Cobb

We will bear to the left to descend to the river and do the entire river stretch. I am making this a five mile hike but the loop is only about 4 miles so I have to add another mile. I am not sure yet if I will stay by the river or use an internal path so I am calling this exploratory for now. I will probably stay by the easier part of the river path to add the extra mileage. However be aware that there are parts of the path near the river that are eroded and require sure footing on rocks. .

There are no bathrooms at the park.

You will need a Chatahoochee NRA or National Parks parking pass for the park which is best to buy in advance.

The park entrance is directly across Lower Roswell Road from the Ashforde subdivision and easy to drive past.
