Itinerary:

Join me for another epic urban hike in Atlanta. (If you joined me for 404 Day, you won't want to miss this either.)

This time, we will be celebrating the 2 major events our city has to offer this weekend -- Juneteenth parade and FIFA Fan Fest!

BUT FIRST!
Fan Fest requires a ticket to get in. GET YOUR FREE FAN FEST TICKET here:

https://fifafanfest.wrstbnd.io/p/fifa/atl26/events?step=SelectDate

Be sure to pick June 20 Sat and General Admission

Registration takes a couple of minutes, and the passes will be sent to your email within 10-15 minutes.

After you receive the passes, come back here and register for this AOC event.

ITINERARY
We'll meet at the Carter Center (directions below). Parking is plentiful and free. We will meet near the state flags at the circular drive. Please be early so we can leave promptly at 9:00

You may want to come earlier to walk around the farmers market that goes on every Saturday morning at the Carter to get a cafe and croissant.

More info on farmer's market - https://freedomfarmersmkt.com/

After intros, we'll make our way to the King Center for the Juneteenth parade. It kicks off at 10:00. We should get there before then, so we can line up and watch the start of the parade. We won't/can't see the entire parade (maybe 20-30 mins).

More info on the parade - https://www.juneteenthatl.com/

From here, we will then make our way to Centennial Park. The gates open at noon. So depending on when we arrive, we'll spend some time either before or after walking around the GWCC/Mercedes Benz to do some tourist-watching.

FAN FEST RULES:
Bring your ID. No external food or drinks. No backpacks. Clear bags only.
There are lockers that you can rent, but no guarantees on availability and I remember seeing the signage at that time was $15-20 dollars.
