Last year, the fall colors at Fort Mtn SP by the lake were absolutely stunning (check out the promo picture!). Fingers crossed we get to see something equally beautiful this year!

 

The hike is about 13 miles long and climbs almost 2700 feet. A significant part of that elevation gain will happen in the first 3 miles.

We will stop at every overlook and enjoy the fall crisp air and warm colors.

Our pace will average 2.7mph, we will take a 10 minutes snack break at the West Overlook (mile 6) followed by 15 minutes lunch break by the lake (mile 9).

We will park at the parking lot closest to trailhead, please arrive early to drive up to the Trading Post to use the bathrooms.
