Itinerary:

Please join me for a hike at  Gwinnett County  - Yellow River Park.   We will hike  6 1/2 miles - time should be just about 2 1/2 hr.- mileage or time may be over/under.

NOT A FAST HIKE 

Yellow River Park is located off Juhan Road,  Stone Mountain, Georgia - it
is just southeast of the Stone Mountain. Yellow RIver Park is a 566-acre park includes 12 miles of soft surface winding mountain bike, hiking and horse trails through the woods above the Yellow River.  The park is known for the many “unofficial” trails that intersect with “official” trails, resulting in numerous trail intersections and making intersection management more than a little confusing.  Many of the trails are multi-use - horses, bikes and hikers.  We will be hiking at about 2.8 mph.
 
  We are meeting in the 1st parking lot on Juhan, the one with the large playground.
 
Please arrive early in order to use restrooms and meet your fellow hikers.
Hike will start promptly at 9:00

Directi ons:
From Atlanta, take Hwy. 78 (Stone Mountain Freeway) past Stone Mountain and look for West Park Place. Take this exit, turn right on West Park Place, and follow this. It eventually becomes Rockbridge Road and then changes to Annistown Road. Take a right onto Juhan Road. The parking lot is on the left.
