Itinerary:

Join me for a hike at Island Ford. We will park at the first parking lot (enter through park entrance gate and make immediate left into parking lot). there are new trails at the park that I am not very famliar with but it will be fun exploring.  

Will be hiking at a moderate pace, not super fast but not a stroll either

 

Hike may be slightly over/under on time and mileage!!!

$5.00 daily parking fee - best to purchase in advance.� you can purchase from Kiosk in parking lot by scanning a code that is provided, entering some data online including your credit card number.� Cash is not accepted.�

There are no restrooms at the parking lot where we start but a couple miles into our hike we will stop at the visitor center/ranger station if needed - please plan accordingly.

1906 Island Ford Pkwy, Sandy Springs, GA

From northbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road).
- Coming off the exit, stay in the right lane, cross over GA 400, and turn right onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

From southbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road)
- Continue straight ahead at the traffic light onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

Once you enter the main gate the parking lot is immediately on your left. ���
