Itinerary:
Elevation gain is 1450', distance is 11.3 miles, NO MOUNTAINS 
This event does not have a lunch break, bring snacks.
 
We will start at Burnt Hickory and go towards Noses Creek, we will be completing a number of loops all the way out to Kolb Farm.  On our return we will take New Salem Church to the road and reverse back to the main trail and then a finish to the cars.
 
This is an excellent hike for strong D3's to get into a beginner D4.  This hike goes over the distance and nears the elevation gain (approved by Director of Events - thanks Aaron), making it an 'easy' (easy ain't always easy) D4.
 
You MUST have a some strong recent D3's (in the last 3 months) to be qualified for this event.  
 
This is a fast pace hike, averaging around 2.8 mph.   
 
If you are unfamiliar with hiking this distance - this might not be for you.  
 
Please arrive a few minutes early for intro's.  No bathroom at this trailhead, lotsa woods.  Bathroom part way through the hike.  Quick stop!  Hike starts promptly at 8:30AM.
   
Don't forget your park pass!!!

Burnt Hickory Road - Pigeon Hill Parking Lot
NOTE: Parking lot is small. Allow time to park.
 
Drive from Atlanta on I 75 to Exit 269. At the bottom of the ramp turn left on Barrett Parkway and proceed approximately 4.5 miles. Turn left on Burnt Hickory Rd and proceed approximately 1.4 miles. Parking lot will be on the right.
 
Alternate Directions from Downtown Marietta: Hwy 120 (Dallas Hwy) from downtown Marietta thru traffic light, right on Burnt Hickory, parking lot 1.5 miles down on left.
