Itinerary:

 

We will hike the beautiful Appalachian Trail, from Gooch Gap to Granny Top, then will retrace our steps back to Preachers Rock for a lunch break.

Our break comes after we complete 7.5 miles/almost 1500ft elevation gain.

On the way back after lunch, we will retrace our steps back to the cars at Gooch Gap.

The hike total elevation gain is almost 2600 feet, we will maintain a moderate average pace of 2.7mph, a tad slower on the uphill and faster going down.
