Itinerary:


Spring foliage is happening. To see the change in progress along the Suwanee Greenway, now is the time to be out walking. Vernal Equinox signaled Spring last Sunday. Let's add some evenings to an outdoor 2011. Thursday, Friday; decide on one or both and we'll get a few miles in. Mostly level and paved, the Greenway has a small section with moderate hills and a short section of dirt trail to get legs loosened up. We can cover 3 to 7 miles depending on personal choice. The official walk will be 3 miles round trip, but for anyone wanting to include more afterwards, round trip toward the opposite end of the Greenway can extend the walk with obvious distance markers to cover up to 7 miles overall.

Burnette Rd NW at McGinnis Ferry Rd, Suwanee GA 30024 

I-85N to exit 109. Turn left onto Old Peachtree Rd. Turn right onto Satellite Blvd. Turn left onto McGinnis Ferry Rd. Before the next road intersection there will be a left turn available via a long left turn lane. This is Burnette Rd. Turn left onto Burnette Rd; parking for Suwanee Greenway is immediately on the left. If the Greenway parking lot is full, take the next left a few feet further on Burnette Rd into the athletic center parking lot

 

I-85S to exit 111. Turn right onto Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd. Turn left onto Satellite Blvd. Turn right onto McGinnis Ferry Rd. Before the next road intersection there will be a left turn available via a long left turn lane. This is Burnette Rd. Turn left onto Burnette Rd; parking for Suwanee Greenway is immediately on the left. If the Greenway parking lot is full, take the next left a few feet further on Burnette Rd into the athletic center parking lot
