Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:
Sitton's Cave,

This cave is located at the bottom of Cloudland Canyon, which is located in North West Ga.  It is a great beginner cave and a way to get some experience in a "Wet" cave.  Since this will be open to beginners, I will try (with Tony T's permission) to make the helmets and lights available upon request ($10 cash).  I strongly recommend that cavers have their own trusted equipment. 

We will also do some exploring in small groups, anyone less adventuresome should bring an extra jacket in case we are waiting in the main passage for the crawlers to come back.  You will be wet and muddy but the Cave remains a constant 58 degrees.

We will be making a late start to try and round up as many cavers as possible that might be on other trips overnight saturday.  Don't let this stop you from signing up.

***This is a wet cave, proper attire is required, please no cotton.  This is a beginners cave; however, I will contact anyone without experience to make sure they have proper equipment and clothing to make sure everyone has the best possible time.***

longsleeve shirt (synthetic materials only, no cotton)
long pants (no jeans or cotton)

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $80.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
