Itinerary:
I'm looking for a nice breather around lunchtime on Tuesday. It's a chance to get out and stretch our legs and soak up some fresh air and sunshine. It will be a fairly easy hike but done at a moderate pace. Beginners are definitely welcome. There will be no mountain climbing and the terrain is fairly level and not too challenging. Mileage should be right around 3.5.

We'll meet at the parking area off of Burnt Hickory. There is limited parking so I've chosen a time where hopefully the parking demand is low but give yourself time in case you have to wait a few minutes for someone to leave. I'm also keeping the group on the small side because of the limited parking.

We will leave from the parking area, take the west loop towards the water and we will have a nice stroll along the water, then across the bridge and back in the woods making our way towards Dallas Highway. When we get to the road, we'll turn around and take the fire trail back towards Burnt Hickory and will cross over the same bridge again.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:I-75 North to Exit 269, Barrett Parkway; turn left off the exit onto Barrett Parkway; travel approx 4 miles and turn left onto Burnt Hickory Road. Parking is on the right side of the road.
