Itinerary:

Please join us for a HOTT hike to the Cochran Shoals (Interstate North Parkway) unit of the CNRA (Please note: There are restrooms at this location).  We will hike along the river for awhile and then turn left and hike inland at the "Wildlife Viewing Area" sign and do some of the trail loops in the park with a few minor climbs.  We will hike about 5 miles at a moderate to semi-fast pace with only a very short rest half way thru.  We will start promptly at 5:30 PM and should finish the hike portion around 7:30 PM.

Afterward, please consider joining us for the optional trivia portion of the event at Mellow Mushroom - Marietta (770-933-8584) at 8:00 PM.  It is less than a mile away at the corner on Powers Ferry Road and Windy Hill Road.

Don't worry if you are not "good" at trivia.  It is just an excuse to socialize after a hike!  :)

When you sign up, please write in the note section whether you plan to attend the optional trivia portion or not so we know whether we need to reserve a large table for us. Thank you. :)

How to Get There:

From eastbound Interstate 285
Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, Powers Ferry Road. 
Go to second traffic light and go left onto New Northside Drive. 
Use "through" lane to pick up Interstate North Parkway. 
Unit will be .8 miles on the right after crossing the Chattahoochee. 

From westbound Interstate 285
Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, Powers Ferry Road. 
Right on New Northside Drive. 
Use "through" lane to pick up Interstate North Parkway. 
Unit will be .8 miles on the right after crossing the Chattahoochee.


Notes:

A maximum of 3 friendly dogs are permitted on this hike. They must be on a leash at all times and you must pick up after your pets per park rules. Please keep in mind if you do bring pets, you may have issues attending the optional trivia portion of the event.

$3 parking fee at Cochran Shoals (Interstate North Parkway) if you do not have a CNRA annual pass.
