Itinerary:

Coldwater Mountain is a 4000 acre tract of land owned by the State of Alabama's Forever Wild organization and managed by the State Lands Division of the state's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The first 10 miles of what will hopefully become a 60 mile trail system are now in place and ready for riders. The Trails we will be riding consist of a warm up 1mile loop and then onto 9 miles ofintermediate loop which encircles the mountain and takes full advantage of the terrain and elevation. This is NOT a beginners ride, experienced mountain bikers only. From carpool we will head down to Alabama and start riding around 9:30. Should be back in Atlanta before 5pm. The trails and parking area are free to the public.

Bike, Helmet, water, snacks, spare tube and biking gear.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $44.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
