Itinerary:

Enjoy an evening of stories, songs, and sounds of the park. Meet the evening's special guest, an owl from the Chattahoochee Nature Center as you sip hot apple cider and hot chocolate. Venture out on a guided night hike and listen for the night time sounds along the Chattahoochee River. Afterward warm up around the campfire and toast marshmallows.

Dress for the weather; comfortable outdoor clothes and shoes suitable for walking on a forest trail. Don't forget your graham crackers, chocolate bars, and flashlight (with red lens so not to disturb the night creatures or your fellow hikers)!

The Owl Prowl will be presented at the Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center; 8615 Barnwell Road; Johns Creek, Georgia 30022. This event is free, but donations will be accepted. Support Wildlife education! Teach an owl how to read. Or, just donate if you can so that the center may continue to offer these fun and educational programs for anyone who wants to learn.

Flashlight or headlamp with red filter lens so not to harm the raptors' eyes.

Note don't go in the regular Jones Bridge park entrance like you are going for a regular hike.  The Owl Prowl will be presented at the Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center; 8615 Barnwell Road; Johns Creek, Georgia 30022.   It is a different entrance.

From GA 400, take exit 7a, and head East 4.1 miles through the intersection of Holcomb Bridge and Nesbitt Ferry Road to the junction of Barnwell Road. Turn left onto Barnwell Rd, and travel just 0.8 mile to that special entrance to the Education Center, which will be on the right.
