Itinerary:

Sunday Morning hike to Stone Mountain's summit to catch the sunrise.  

We will start out at a moderate pace and plan on reaching the summit in time for sunrise.  This will be a more moderate pace, and everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace.  

We will take a few moments at the top to regroup and hopefully get to see the views of Downtown Atlanta and North Georgia mountains.

We will head down after the sunrise and there should be great opportunites for pictures and time for meditaion, if wanted!

We will be starting in the dark so you might need a flashlight or headlamp for the first section through the woods.

THE HIKE WILL START FROM THE CONFEDERATE HALL PARKING LOT NEAR THE BATHROOMS AT 6:45 AM.

Entrance to Stone Mountain is $10 per vehicle per visit or $35 for an annual pass.

Directions To Confederate Hall Parking Lot:

From I-285 take U.S. Hwy 78 East (Snellville/Athens) exit.

Travel about 7 miles and take Exit 8, the Stone Mountain Park Main Entrance.

After entering the main entrance, proceed straight ahead. The road will fork at about 1 mile - stay to the right.

Continue to follow the road for another mile. Confederate Hall will be on your left.

The parking lot will be immediately after.

We will meet in front of the restrooms just before the walk-up trail.
