Itinerary:

We will hike the Homestead Trail and part of the Sweet Gum Trail at a comfortable pace. These are wide dirt trails that wind through the woods and beside Lake Allatoona.

 

I'm not setting up a carpool for this event because I leave from north Canton, however I can help arrange carpools from Busbee Park & Ride if that helps. If you'd like to ride with me from Canton I can take 3 people.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Park Office address:  50 Lodge Rd SE, Cartersville, GA

Go 75 North to Exit 285. Go right (east) on Red Top Mountain Road. Continue straight to the Visitor's Center which will be on your left.


Notes:

Please arrive a few minutes early. We will begin hiking promptly at 10:00 am.

There is a restroom that has been open but can't guarantee it.


* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cost Includes:

There is a $5 per vehicle parking fee if you don't have an annual Georgia Parks Pass.

If you ride with someone please chip in for gas.
