Itinerary:

Join us for a hike around the lake.  This hike is really a D1, but I made it D2 due to the distance.

Little Mulberry is a dog-friendly park and has several different kinds of hiking and horse trails.  We will be using the 2.2 mile, paved walking trail around the lake.  We will circle around 2 times for a total of 4.4 miles.  If I'm feeling really frisky, I may go for a 3rd time around.  You are welcome to join me if you want.

*Note: If you are worried that you can't make the entire 4.4 miles, or that your dog (should you choose to bring him/her) isn't behaving, you can always stop 1/2 way and you'll be right by your vehicle.

The path is basically flat and easy to traverse.  We will stop occassionally to let everyone catch up and stay as a group.  This is a good time to get a drink of water and let your little buddy have some too.

 

** Water **

While the park normally provides water fountains for you and your dog, there is no guarantee that they are working or even turned on (due to recent cold weather), therefore it is advisable that you bring an appropriate amount of water for yourself and your pet.

 

** Cost **

The event is free.  Parking is free.

 

** Weather **

Current forecast calls for sunshine and a high of 56.  You'll probably want to bring a jacket as it can be a little windy at certain open spots on the trail.

Little Mulberry Park has 3 entrances.  We will be hiking from the entrance at:

3900 Hog Mountain Road, Dacula 30019

(This is NOT the entrance near the kids playground)

 

From 85 North:

Hamilton Mill, exit 120 (this is 1 exit past the Mall of Georgia).

Go right at the top of the exit ramp.

Make a left at that first light (by QuikTrip).  You'll be on Braselton Hwy.

Go about 1 mile and turn right onto Pine Rd (right lane is a right turn only).

Go about 1.4 miles and the road basically dead ends into the entrance to the Park.
