Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

***                AOCers. The festival is a public event so feel free to come out on your own!            ***

You must have more than 20 attended events to sign up for this AOC event

Alive After Five Roswell

 

The Atlanta Outdoor Club is teaming up with Alive After 5 Roswell. We need a few ambassadors to join this event to discuss the AOC, hand out information, sell the benefits of our club and just be pleasant excited members. 

You should be at the event at 4pm and be willing to stay past 9 to help with set up and take down. Flexibility is a necessity until we can get a grasp of how this will work. Do not plan to stay at the AOC tent the whole time, so you can plan to enjoy the event too.

If you choose to consume Alcohol and represent the club maintain extreme moderation. This is a marketing event and we need to maintain professionalism. If you do consume you may be kindly requested to just enjoy the event not representing the AOC.

Alive After Five is Roswell's block party on the 3rd Thursday of each month that includes:

Required Items to Bring:

Come armed with your best stories, your excitement for the AOC, and dress comfortable. If you have a smart phone, share pictures of your events and or the AOC site. 

We aim to have a mix of ages for representation, so we invite young and the young at heart. The aim is to mix and match, so if we have too many in one age group we may request you to be a back up, but to come enjoy the event.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Anything you need to enjoy and share your experience for this event, though instruments of any sound making type are forbidden and will result in the AOC being requested to leave this event. 

Dress in your normal outdoor gear and try to look the part of a fun group of explorers. Heck, wear or bring your backpack or ropes and harness if you want to draw attention and talk about that.

We will figure out what works and doesn't as we test this idea.

At this time we do not have a set location for the AOC tent.

This should be updated soon, but please be patent. 

For now, or if our we are told our location last min. Plan to park near one of the trolley stops and take it to the location of the AOC tent. You should see an email update from one of the Trip Leaders for a more exact location.

This is free, but plan to enjoy the event. Bring money for food, drink, shopping, games, what ever you think you need to enjoy free time at the festival.
