Itinerary:

Join us for a beautiful paddle down the Chattahoochee River. We will begin at Azalea Park and paddle downstream toward Bull Sluice Lake.  We are going to explore a cove that comes before Bull Sluice.  (We will not be paddling all the way to Bull Sluice Lake.)  We just explored this cove last Sunday, which is the size of a lake (if it has its own name, we do not know what it is), and it was beautiful!  We were the only two on this part of the river, and we did not get a chance to explore the entire cove, so would like you to join us to explore it further.  We saw a couple of Blue Heron and what we believe were otters or muskrats toying with us, because everytime we heard a splash and turned, we just missed their heads going under the water.

We will meet at Azalea Park in the parking lot across from the Atlanta Rowing Club. We will paddle approximately 5-6 miles at a leisurely pace. This event is very appropriate for beginners.

This is a bring your own boat event.
