Itinerary:

We will walk the Laurel Ridge Trail in the counterclockwise direction, with a side trip to the bottom of the dam and a pedestrian bridge over the Chattahoochee, for a total distance of a little over 4 miles. This trail offers nice views of the dam, the river, and Lake Lanier, so you may want to bring your camera. A mile and a quarter before the end of the trail there is a public beach on Lake Lanier, where we will swim and have a snack  There is a restroom there for you to change in and out of your swimsuit if you would like to. We will then walk back to our cars. If you don't want to swim, I can take you on a short hike on a trail in the beach area.

There is a moderate amount of elevation change on this one..probably about 500-600 feet along the entire route, but we will be walking at a moderate pace.
