We will walk some distance on the Cooper Branch and Cooper Furnace
trails and then take a back trail to the summit of Pine Mountain. After a brief
stop to admire the view we will return to our cars via the East Loop of
Cartersville's Pine Mountain Trail, and a connector trail that leads back to
the Allatoona Lake area, for a total walking distance of about 5 miles and
an ascent of about 800 ft.
|How to Get There:|
From Atlanta go to I-75 Exit 290, take a right onto GA 20 East then an immediate right onto Spur 20. Continue about 3.5 miles. We will meet at the SECOND trailhead on the right. If you reach the end of the road you went about a mile too far.
There will be no carpool, I will already be in the area leading a morning event.
