Itinerary:

Let us stay fit! With this in mind, let's hike some trails at Sweetwater!

Sweetwater Creek Park in Lithia Springs Georgia is an awesome trail. It is one of the most visited state parks in all of Georgia and is also one of my favorite parks to hike. I have hiked these trail many times, but have listed this as an explorer hike so that we may enjoy any and all of the wonderful trails that Sweetwater has to offer.

For this event, our group of hikers will need to be prepared as this is a 12-mile hike with a few  short breaks. This is intended to challenge our speed, endurance and get us back into shape after Christmas.  I have listed this as a 5 hr event to allow for breaks, but depending on our hikers I would like to finish in 4 to 4 1/2 hrs to challenge our speed and endurance(no running or jogging only hiking).

You will need to bring plenty of water (2-3 liters), snacks, treking  poles (if you use them), and the right attitude for endurance hiking at Sweetwater (3.0 to 3.5 mph pace....no running, hike only) .

Additionally, we will move at a pace of 3.0 to 3.5 and take only a few breaks, so this event is not for beginners or those who have not hiked distance. Be ready for an awesome hike, endurance building, staying fit after the holidays and a great day filled with outdoor adventure!

I look forward to hiking with everyone!
