Meet at 6:45pm at the trail head- 5 minutes of stretching/introductions, and then we will hike the part of the trail leading toward Dallas Hwy and return on the same trail. Appx 3Miles roundtrip. The hike begins in a meadow setting and soon you enter into the woods and walk along a wide dirt road under tall trees. There is an opportunity to see wildlife from time to time. It is a beautiful, cool setting with historical reference.

Following the hike, those who like can meet togther in downtown Marietta - The Square - for some good food, drinks, music, etc. and spend some time socializing and becoming better acquainted.

This is planned as a Monthly Event. For August & Sept, it is on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Through the Fall and Winter, the day & time will change (watch the website). Each hike will have a different itinerary so eventually all parts of the West & East Trails of Kennesaw Mountain will be hiked. The hikes will range in difficulty and length averaging appx 2.5 - 5 miles each. The intent is to enjoy the natural area of Kennesaw Mountain and learn about its Civil War history, make some new friends, and explore the variety of eateries found in The Square of downtown Marietta.
