Itinerary:

Since it's  getting dark earlier, it is time to bring our flashlights to the Saturday night  hikes. Last week, we tried it at Big Trees and had fun. So this week, we will hike with flashlights again at Big Trees.

Big Tree Forest Preserve is a nice 1.2- mile nature trail in the Sandy Springs community. The trail is a mulch and dirt trail with mild slopes. Many rocks along the stream that parallels the hiking trail add to the wonderful landscapes at Big Trees. (http://www.bigtreesforest.com/)

This nature trail is a perfect trail for beginning hikers and those who just want a moderate to leisurely hike.  Since this is a small trail, we will move at a moderate pace to complete our three-mile hike in an hour.

Newcomers, beginners and all levels of hikers are welcome to join.

I look forward to hiking with everyone!

Special Invitation

Several of us go to eat after the event. You are welcome to join us.

This week it is Aladdins, Dunwoody Place, 8725 Roswell Rd #1, Atlanta, GA 30350. (This is optional, but I hope that everyone will want to go eat with us!). http://www.aladdinmediterraneanrestaurant.com/

I hope to see you at the hike and for dinner!
